TO HAVE A FRIEND TO BE A FRIEND

"Your friend has a friend, and the friend of your friend has a friend."

- Talmud, Ketubot 109b

Friends, people who are not in your family, people who are not related to you by blood, the guy next door, the pal at work, someone who visits you at your home, a guy who is nice to you, a person who helps you through hard times, someone who gives you a pat on the back, a man who carries something for you that is too heavy for you, a person who stays in touch over time, someone who writes to you, a person who is not adverse with you.

The chain links go on and on, your friend has a friend and he has a friend and he has a friend.

A friend is a friend in need and is therefore a friend indeed. Glad to have friends who lend a hand, who give me that needed smile to get through a day, a person who is always glad to hear from me.

To have family and friends, to have it all.
